UK Uncut legal action in approaching court showdown over Goldman Sachs

UK Uncut Legal Action is appearing in the UK High Court in a landmark legal action on June 13, which the Guardian summarised recently:
"Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs will be forced to defend itself in court against allegations that it gave one of the world's most profitable banks a sweetheart deal on the repayment of unpaid taxes worth up to £20m. The agreement between HMRC and Goldman Sachs reached in 2010 could be quashed after the high court allowed a preliminary permission hearing to take place on 13 June following court filings made by the activist group UK Uncut Legal Action."
This will be, to use the technical language, a "permission hearing" for the judicial review, and we urge anyone in London at the time to attend the hearing, in support of UK Uncut. The judge will decide on that day whether to proceed to a full substantive hearing; he or she will consider whether it is in the public interest or not, and the more people there in support of this action, the better.

So if you can be in the area, put June 13 in your calendar, and tell your friends.

So far they have raised £17,000 of the £20,000 they need to pursue their case. If you can't make it to the court, please do consider a donation.
